Lancaster, Bradford a decorative mahogany longcase clock the eight-day duration movement having an anchor escapement and striking the hours on a bell, with the fourteen-inch painted break-arch dial having black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and date dials, decorative blued-steel hands, finely painted scenes depicting fruit and flora on a black ground to the four corners and arch, and signed to the centre for the maker Lancaster, Bradford, the mahogany case with boxwood stringing, pillars to the hood with scroll capitals, trunk and base, a shaped door to the trunk and surmounted by a pediment top with turned wood finials, height 245cm. Notes: Abraham Lancaster is recorded as working in Hustlergate, Bradford, Yorkshire in circa 1822.
