A rare Thomas Rose Coalport cream jug decorated by Thomas Pardoe in Bristol, circa 1815 painted with two oval panels of shells and seaweed on a peach-coloured and gilt caillouté ground, the handle with gilt Garter Star, 12cm high [old repairs to handle and wear to gilt]. cf. Jonathan Gray 'The Cambrian Company, Swansea Pottery in London 1806-1808' [2012] p.201 pl.6.72. for a teapot and cover and a saucer dish from the same service; and from the same author 'Thomas Pardoe 1770-1823 [2023] p.94 and 95.
