Ca. 1400–1900 CE. Western Europe, Medieval to post-Medieval period, ca. 15th to 19th century CE. A group of three decorative metal ornaments, each inlaid with colored enamel or glass. The two nearly identical gold-hued examples are likely belt clasps or mounts, both cast in a copper alloy with approximately 40% gold and 23% silver, featuring central leaded inlays of pale blue and violet. The third piece, cast from brass, bears the remains of an iron pin clasp on the verso, suggesting it once served as a brooch or garment fitting.
