拍品描述
A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON "TWIN-FISH" WASHER, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127 - 1279) The two fish in the central medallion are exceptionally crisply moulded, a feature rarely encountered among Longquan celadon twin-fish washers. The vessel is covered overall with a lustrous pale celadon glaze of pleasing tone, elements that place it among the finer examples of Longquan ware. For a comparable twin-fish washer, with less sharply defined moulded decoration and slightly darker glaze colour, see Christie's Hong Kong, 4/4/2017, lot 113. Also compare to a larger washer (16.5cm diameter), see the same house, 15/5/2025, lot 1175. The washer is with a Japanese wooden box. 13.3cm diameter PROVENANCE: A private collection, Osaka.
