拍品描述
A TIBETAN BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF DOLPOPA, 16TH CENTURY The figure is with remains of pigments on eyes and lips. The bronze has a pleasing, lustrous patina aided by the smooth, rounded contours of the corpulent lama wrapped in his plain meditation cloak. He has a sympathetic expression, and as he rests both hands over his knees, he is commemorated as a master of meditation, suggested by the mala in his left hand which is used to count mantra recitations. It's with a fitted box. 38cm high PROVENANCE: An important private collection of Himalayan Art, NSW.
