Pair of hinged round sterling silver trinket boxes with hand-painted and jewelled miniature portraits set beneath glass on mother-of-pearl covers. Each lid depicts a figure in traditional Indian dress-the left a female wearing a yellow headdress and pearl ornaments, the right a male in a feathered turban-both within a twisted rope silver border. Interiors and bases are finished in polished silver; bases stamped "STERLING." Boxes open on single hinges to reveal plain circular interiors. Gross weight 2.4 ozt - l. 2 in. Inventory Code: 7A-46
