拍品描述
A large jar decorated in underglaze blue with four large circular medallions. Divine tortoises and cranes arranged in alternating circular medallions each with a cloud or auspicious vapor. The shoulder features a ruyi-style cloud band, and the entire surface displays a dense network of glaze crazing. The vessel is finished with a short cylindrical neck and a glazed foot ring showing natural iron spotting. The iconography of the crane and the dragon-headed tortoise identifies this vessel as part of the 'Shipjangsaeng' tradition, representing the Ten Symbols of Longevity prevalent in late Joseon Dynasty art. The globose form, often referred to as a 'moon jar' variant when undecorated, suggests a production date in the 18th century. h. 13.5 x dia. 13.5 in.
