Regatta Around Statue of Liberty, 1977 Pochoir on paper h. 22.5 x w. 30 in., sheet Unsigned proof featuring an Atelier Wolfensberger blind stamp, depicting the Statue of Liberty surrounded by stylized sailboats with a reflected skyline above. h. 22.5 x w. 30 in. (sheet) Pitigliani was a female artist and illustrator who was a student of Roberto Melli (1885-1958) and transplant to the USA. Her mastery of color and gradients translated into a pseudorealistic view that captured the light, character, and grit of New York City in the 1970s &1980's.
