Likely 19th century, Regency-era, this document box features a highly figured wood veneer with cross-banded borders and an ornate brass escutcheon. The hinged lid opens to reveal an interior lined with peach and cream marbled paper. The box is set upon a dark wood stand featuring square legs and a H-stretcher.
