英文名称：Vertical Calligraphy Scroll, Seal Script, by Ma Gongyu 英文描述：Ink on paper, unmounted. This work is Ma Gongyu’s copy of ancient bronze inscription. The characters are archaic and solid, with even and powerful lines, arranged in solemn and stable composition. The main large seal-script characters are complemented by running-script colophon on the left, annotating the origin of ancient characters. The fluid small running script forms a nice contrast with the main seal script. Ma Gongyu, a renowned modern Chinese calligrapher, excelled at seal and clerical scripts, especially bronze inscriptions. His brushwork faithfully follows ancient traditions with strong epigraphic charm. The paper shows natural water stains and signs of aging from long storage. Two red seals are stamped, a fine representative seal script work by the artist. 纸本，未裱镜片。此幅为马公愚所临金文篆书，取法先秦钟鼎文字，字形古拙圆厚，线条匀净雄劲，布局端庄沉稳。大字篆书为主，左侧配以行书题跋，考释文字源流，小字行书流畅洒脱，与主体篆书相映成趣。 马公愚，近现代著名书法家，善篆隶，尤精金文，笔墨恪守古法，金石气息浓郁。本幅纸本年代久远，可见自然水渍、老化痕迹，钤两方朱文印章，是其篆书精品。
