This is a limited-edition silkscreen print of Kusama’s iconic pumpkin motif. The plump pumpkin is covered in her signature graduated polka dots, arranged along the ribs of the fruit, seamlessly merging organic form with endlessly proliferating dot symbols. The background is often rendered with net texture to evoke boundless infinite space. Pumpkin is the central motif throughout Kusama’s career; its humble, rounded shape embodies her meditation on life, hallucination and the infinite universe. Printed on paper, hand-signed, dated and numbered by the artist in the lower margin. A classic print from her mature period, in excellent condition with original frame.
