The maiden sits gracefully on the ground, with delicate facial features, bright eyes and soft blush on cheeks, conveying quiet and innocent charm. She wears an embroidered ethnic hat and an orange headscarf, paired with colourful striped blouse, black vest and bright red long skirt. Her neck is adorned with colourful bead necklace and golden bangles on wrist, the ethnic costume details are vividly depicted. The work blends western realistic modelling with Chinese freehand ink. The facial rendering is refined and lifelike, while robes are painted with bold, unrestrained brushstrokes in vivid colours. The background is simplified with light ink and faint washes to highlight the figure. Tahman Grassland lies on the Pamir Plateau.
