英文名称：Zitan Wood Brush Pot with Mallow-shaped Rim 英文描述：This brush pot is hollowed from a single piece of zitan hardwood. The body is moulded in lobed mallow form with raised vertical ribs, and the rim follows the contour into a floral mallow outline with soft, elegant lines. The vessel stands upright with well-proportioned form. The timber carries a deep, rich purple-brown hue with fine grain and distinct hair-like wood veins, coated in a mellow, subdued patina. The surface is plain without carved ornamentation, relying entirely on the beauty of its structural lines, embodying minimalist literate aesthetics. Lobed mallow-style brush pots were highly favoured by literati during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Placed in the study for holding writing brushes, it fully conveys classical scholarly elegance.
