enamel on copper 2 x 1 5/8 x 0 3/4 in, 5.1 x 4.1 x 1.9 cm Raised on a short foot with globular sides rising to a cylindrical neck, the two faces flattened, one side depicting a lady in a red and orange dress with hands embracing a fowl, the other a lady with large yellow hat and red dress, the edges with brown and yellow enamelled sections containing multi-coloured scrolling vine. Gilt copper alloy stopper. Base with four-character Qianlong mark. PROVENANCE An Important Private Collection, Hong Kong and Toronto, 1980s
