拍品描述

Property from an Asian private collection 亞洲私人收藏 18.8 cm 來源 美國私人收藏 倫敦佳士得1990年6月11日,編號159 香港佳士得2014年11月26日,編號3266 The Yongzheng reign (r. 1723–35) is celebrated for refined monochromes and archaistic porcelains that closely emulate the forms and glazes of Song ceramics. Their subtle colours, controlled firing effects including delicate crackling in the glaze, and restrained forms reflect the emperor’s literati-inflected taste for classical elegance. Palace records attest that Song-period originals were sent to Jingdezhen for close reproduction; the court term fang (仿) denotes faithful imitation rather than loose pastiche. Technically impeccable yet deliberately antiquarian in appearance, these porcelains embody a lyrical recreation of a venerable past. See a comparable prototype in the Taipei Palace Museum, attributed to the Yuan–Ming period, acc. no. zhongci-1111. A small group of related Yongzheng-marked vases of this type is known, including three in the Beijing Palace Museum: two with guan-type glaze (acc. nos gu-148471 and gu-148472), and one with teadust glaze (acc. no. gu-149178); a taller guan-type-glazed example in the Baur Collection (26.2 cm), illustrated in John Ayers, Chinese Ceramics in the Baur Collection, vol. 2, Geneva, 1999, no. 269 [A335]; and two ge-type-glazed examples: one from the Greenwald Collection, sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 1st December 2010, lot 2823, and the other from the Carl Kempe Collection, sold at Sotheby’s Paris, 12th June 2008, lot 102.
