Antoine Coysevox (1640-1720, after): The crouching Venus, green patinated bronze on a marble base, 19th/20th C. H 22 cm (incl. the base) The crouching Venus by Coysevox is part of the Louvre collection (Paris, Louvre MR 1826). The original model of Venus taking her ritual bath dates from the third century BC and was most probably made by the Greek sculptor Doidalsas of Bithynia.
