英文品名：XU BANGDA, MONK VIEWING A WATERFALL BENEATH A PLUM, INK AND COLOUR ON PAPER, HANGING SCROLL 尺寸：L:58cm;W:28cm 紙本設色，立軸。小品山水，圖繪危崖懸瀑，松枝斜出，坡梅綻發，一僧坐於梅下觀瀑，遠山一峰突起，煙雲縹緲。筆墨清潤，得宋元人遺意。畫右上題「臨馬驌圖」，左下行書款署徐邦達寫並題，鈐印二方。裝裱具日本風，附原桐木盒。此幀筆意取法宋元，而自出機杼。徐邦達（1911–2012），字孚尹，號夢笙，江蘇海門人。早年師從李祖韓、趙叔孺、吳湖帆，學習書畫鑑賞與傳統山水畫法。一九四九年後入故宮博物院從事古代書畫整理與鑑定，為國家文物鑑定委員會常委，主編《古書畫圖目》等大型圖錄，是海內外公認的中國古代書畫鑑定權威。 A hanging scroll, ink and colour on paper. A small landscape: a steep cliff with a hanging waterfall, pine branches reaching out, plum blossoms opening on the slope, a monk seated beneath the plum gazing at the fall; a lone distant peak rises through mist. The brushwork is clear and mellow, in the Song-Yuan manner. At the upper right the subject is inscribed, and at the lower left a running-script signature by Xu Bangda with two seals. The mounting is Japanese in style, with an original paulownia box. Xu Bangda (1911-2012), born in Haimen, Jiangsu, studied painting and connoisseurship under Li Zuhan, Zhao Shuru and Wu Hufan. After 1949 he joined the Palace Museum, where he catalogued and authenticated ancient painting and calligraphy, becoming a leading authority and chief editor of the Gu Shuhua Tumu series. His own landscapes drew on the Song-Yuan masters through Ming models.
