英文品名：TANG YIN, LADIES AT LEISURE IN A PALACE GARDEN, INK AND COLOUR ON SILK, HANGING SCROLL 尺寸：L:138cm;W:39cm 絹本設色，立軸。圖繪園苑庭院之景，臺閣廊榭之下，數仕女或坐或立，理妝閒話，旁有小童侍立。欄杆外湖石玲瓏，花木扶疏。絹地深赭，人物衣飾以石青硃砂點染，勾勒流麗。畫上方有長行楷題詩，字體端秀，並鈐印。吳門畫院庭人物多作此麗格，此軸設色古雅。唐寅（1470–1524），字伯虎，一字子畏，號六如居士、桃花庵主，吳縣人。弘治十一年舉應天鄉試第一，次年因科場泄題案被黜，絕意仕途，築室桃花塢，鬻詩文書畫自給。山水、人物、樓閣俱佳，工寫兼長；文徵明、祝允明、徐禎卿稱「吳中四才子」。畫與沈周、文徵明、仇英合稱明四家。 A hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk. A palace garden scene unfolds: beneath a terrace and gallery, several ladies sit and stand at their toilets in leisurely talk, attended by maids. Beyond the balustrade, ornamental rocks and flowering trees are arranged. The silk is a deep ochre, the figures' robes accented in mineral blue and cinnabar with flowing outlines. A long running-script poem is inscribed at the top, elegant in manner, with seals. Tang Yin (1470–1524), style name Bohu, hao Liuru Jushi, was a native of Wuxian, modern Suzhou. He took first place in the Nanjing provincial examination of 1498, but a subsequent examination scandal closed his official career; he retired to the Peach Blossom Cottage and lived by selling poetry and painting. At home in landscape, figure and pavilion subjects, he was counted with Wen Zhengming, Zhu Yunming and Xu Zhenqing as one of the Four Talents of Wu.
