英文品名：XU BEIHONG, WOMAN AND CHILDREN BEFORE A SCREEN, INK AND COLOUR ON PAPER, HANGING SCROLL 尺寸：L:159cm;W:82cm 紙本設色，立軸。圖繪室內情景，一古裝女子頭戴風帽、身著黃袍，懷抱小兒坐於圈椅，身後有圓光；三童子或立或跪，前來參拜，足下一白羊馴立。旁几上置藍瓶插花，屏風繪山水，階前植竹。線描勁挺，設色明麗，融合中西寫實畫法。左下方題款並鈐印，寫賜子祈福之吉祥場景。徐悲鴻（1895–1953），江蘇宜興人。早年留學法國巴黎美術學校，習寫實油畫與素描。歷任中央大學藝術系教授、中央美術學院院長、中國美術工作者協會主席。融中西畫法，尤工奔馬與歷史人物，主張「盡精微，致廣大」，為近現代中國美術教育奠基人之一。 A hanging scroll, ink and colour on paper. An interior scene: a woman in a yellow robe and hood sits in an armchair holding a child, a halo behind her head; three boys stand and kneel in obeisance before her, a white lamb standing at their feet. On a side table a blue vase holds flowers, a screen is painted with landscape, and bamboo grows by the steps. The outlines are firm and the colours bright, blending Western realism with Chinese brushwork. Xu Beihong (1895–1953), from Yixing, Jiangsu, studied realist oil painting and life drawing at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He taught at Nanjing Central University, served as head of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and chaired the national artists' association. He fused Western realism with Chinese brush idiom, best known for galloping horses and historical figure subjects.
