英文品名：A YELLOW-GROUND GREEN-ENAMELLED DRAGON DISH, THE BASE BEARING A SIX-CHARACTER KANGXI MARK 尺寸：D:28cm;H:5.5cm 敞口圈足盤，器形規整。通體黃地，盤心繪一條綠彩五爪龍，盤壁繪數條綠彩龍穿行於火焰祥雲之間，龍身鱗甲清晰。外壁同樣繪綠龍黃地，近足處飾青花回紋邊。底書青花六字雙圈款「大清康熙年製」。黃地鮮明，綠彩沉鬱。黃地綠彩是一種低溫釉上彩品種，工序為：先於澀胎上刻劃龍紋輪廓，以綠彩填紋，再澀胎澆黃釉為地，入窯低溫燒成。黃色為「澀胎澆黃」，以鐵為著色劑，經氧化焰呈嬌黃；綠彩以銅為著色劑。黃地綠彩自明代成化始，清代康熙朝多有燒造，因黃色象徵中央、向為帝王專用之色，民間不得僭用，舊時此類黃地龍紋瓷多為宮廷用瓷。 A dish with rounded sides and a ring foot. The whole interior is on a bright yellow ground: the centre medallion is painted with a green-enamel five-clawed dragon, and the cavetto bears further green dragons writhing among flames and clouds, their scales clearly defined. The exterior repeats the green-on-yellow dragon pattern with a blue key-fret border at the foot. The base bears a six-character underglaze-blue double-circle mark of the Kangxi period. Yellow-ground green enamel is a low-temperature overglaze technique: the dragon outlines are first incised on the biscuit body, filled with green copper enamel, then the ground is flooded with a lead-iron yellow glaze and fired at low temperature. The yellow is biscuit-flooded yellow, produced by an iron colorant in an oxidising flame; the green is copper-based. The combination began in the Chenghua period and was widely produced under the Kangxi emperor; yellow being the colour associated with the centre and reserved for the emperor, its use was forbidden to commoners, so yellow-ground dragon dishes of this kind were largely palace wares.
