英文品名：A MING BLUE-AND-WHITE GARLIC-HEAD VASE WITH FISH AND WATERWEEDS AND PLUM, THE MOUTH RIM BEARING A SIX-CHARACTER WANLI MARK 尺寸：L:19cm;H:40cm 青花蒜頭口長頸瓶，碩腹斂足。口沿下繪纏枝靈芝與如意雲頭邊，頸部繪一枝折枝梅花，枝幹虯曲。腹滿繪鯉魚游於蓮藻水浪間，魚身鱗甲清晰，水藻隨波。圈足修整。青花呈色沉豔，釉面瑩潤。口沿橫書青花六字「大明萬曆年製」款。萬曆青花多用浙料，早期色澤清麗，晚期因礦料配比與窯溫而偏灰。此器蒜頭口、長頸碩腹，承嘉靖、隆慶以來大器之風。頸繪折枝梅、腹繪魚藻，梅喻清高，魚諧餘字，蓮藻游魚合「連年有餘」之意。魚藻紋自元代景德鎮窯流行，明代中晚期成為宮廷、民間喜見題材。 A blue-and-white garlic-head bottle with long neck and swelling body. Below the mouth are scrolling lingzhi and ruyi borders; the neck is painted with a single flowering plum spray, branches gnarled. The rounded body is filled with carp swimming among lotus and water weeds, scales clear and plants drifting in waves. The foot ring is trimmed. The cobalt is rich and dense, the glaze lustrous. A six-character Wanli mark is written in a horizontal line at the rim. Wanli blue-and-white used Zhejiang cobalt, early pieces bright, later ones greyer as ore and kiln conditions changed. The garlic mouth and long neck follow the large-vase fashion of the Jiajing-Longqing reigns. Plum on the neck evokes purity; fish puns on surplus, and fish among lotions gives the wish of abundance year after year. Fish-and-waterweed decoration had been popular at Jingdezhen since the Yuan and remained a Ming court and market favourite.
