清 礬紅描金大吉葫蘆式壁瓶

英文品名：A QING CORAL-GROUND GILT DOUBLE-GOURD WALL VASE WITH THE CHARACTER DA JI 尺寸：L:18cm;H:30cm 瓷質，葫蘆式，背面扁平可貼壁，正面鼓出。通體施珊瑚紅釉，上描金彩。上腹書金彩「大」字，下腹書「吉」字，兩字間綴金彩蝙蝠、祥雲。口沿、束腰、圈足飾金彩弦紋。為清代掛於廳堂、閨閣之壁瓶。壁瓶，又稱掛瓶、轎瓶，器背扁平，可懸掛於牆面或轎廂。明代萬曆間已流行，清代宮中、宅第多掛於廳堂、臥室。葫蘆諧福祿，上大下小，束腰聯珠。「大吉」二字合「大吉大利」之意，蝠諧福，合福祿吉祥。珊瑚紅描金是乾隆以來常見裝飾，喜慶場合懸掛尤多。 A porcelain wall vase in double-gourd form, flat-backed for hanging, the front rounded. The body is covered in coral-red glaze and painted in gilt: the upper gourd bears the character da and the lower ji, with gilt bats and clouds between. Rims and foot are gilt-stringed. The wall vase, or guaping ping, has a flat back for hanging on walls or sedan chairs; popular from the Wanli reign and common in Qing halls and chambers. The gourd puns on fortune and emolument; the characters da ji mean great auspiciousness, and the bat adds fortune. Coral-red with gilding was a festive Qianlong palette for halls and chambers.
