英文品名：A WUCAI GUANYIN VASE PAINTED WITH A RIDER AND ATTENDANTS IN A LANDSCAPE, BEARING A SIX-CHARACTER MARK 尺寸：L:21cm;H:38cm 瓷質五彩。瓶作洗口束頸、豐肩斂腹、外撇圈足之觀音瓶式。頸部繪折枝花卉，肩飾錦地開光，內繪蟠龍，上下夾礬紅彩如意頭與綠彩卷草邊飾。器身通景繪山水園林：蒼松挺立，垂柳拂水，山石亭臺掩映其間，徑上騎馬出行、從卒侍立，人物衣飾以紅、藍、綠諸彩點染，筆意瀟灑。足牆飾綠彩回紋一週。整器彩料飽滿，為清代五彩陳設瓷。五彩是釉上彩的主要品種，始於明宣德，成熟於嘉靖萬曆，康熙朝達於極盛。工序為：先於高溫燒成的白瓷上以墨彩勾稿，再填以礬紅、古黃、翠綠、紫、墨諸彩，二次入窯以低溫烤成。康熙五彩多用黑彩勾輪廓，線條剛勁，又稱「硬彩」，與後來柔美的粉彩相對。此瓶繪騎馬出行、亭臺山水，線條瀟灑，是典型康熙五彩畫風。 A porcelain wucai vase of guanyin form, with a rolled mouth, tapered neck, broad shoulder and splayed foot. The neck is painted with floral sprays; the shoulder carries a brocade-ground panel enclosing a dragon roundel, framed by iron-red ruyi and green scroll borders. The main body is painted in a continuous landscape with pines, willows, rocks and a pavilion, through which a rider on horseback and attendants proceed, their robes rendered in red, blue and green. The foot is bordered by a green keyfret band. Wucai, or five-colour overglaze enamel, began in the Xuande period, matured under Jiajing and Wanli, and reached its peak under the Kangxi emperor. The design is outlined in black on a high-fired white body, filled in with iron-red, yellow, green, aubergine and black enamels, then fired a second time at low temperature. Kangxi wucai uses firm black outlines and bright colours, and is therefore called hard colour in contrast to the softer later famille rose. The rider on horseback and pavilion landscape on this vase show the free brushwork typical of the Kangxi manner.
