英文品名：A BLUE AND WHITE SLEEVE VASE PAINTED WITH A TRAVELLING SCHOLAR IN MOUNTAINS 尺寸：D:14cm;H:48cm 瓷質青花。瓶作撇口長頸、筒狀長腹、淺圈足之筒瓶式。頸部繪下垂蕉葉紋一週。器身繪高士遊山圖：一老叟束髮長髯，寬袍大袖，手持杖藜，足下坡石叢草，身旁雲氣繚繞，日輪懸天，蕉葉傍石。青花分水層次豐富，濃淡相間，人物衣紋飄逸，線條剛柔並濟。器身暗刻弦紋數道，為清代青花人物大器。筒瓶又稱「象腿瓶」，撇口長頸、筒狀長腹，為明末清初流行器形，寓意「大清天下一統」，故又稱「統一瓶」。青花技法上，此器使用「分水」：以濃淡不同的料水渲染雲氣、衣紋、坡石，一筆之中可見五色，遠望如水墨畫。器身暗刻弦紋，則於施釉前在胎上劃出，成器後若隱若現，增加含蓄層次。 A porcelain blue-and-white sleeve vase, with a flared mouth, long neck and cylindrical body. The neck is painted with a hanging banana-leaf border. The main body depicts an elderly gentleman with topknot and long beard, in wide flowing robes, holding a staff and walking on a rocky slope among clouds, with a sun disc and plantain leaves. The blue is applied in graded washes, the figure's drapery drifting and fluid. Incised string lines ring the body. The cylindrical sleeve vase, also called an elephant-leg vase, with its flared mouth and long straight body, was a popular form in the late Ming and early Qing. It was popularly read as the Great Qing unifies all under heaven, hence also the name unifying vase. In painting technique the piece relies on graded cobalt washes: cloud, drapery and rocks are rendered in layered tones so that a single brushstroke shows several shades, resembling ink painting. The incised string lines on the body were cut into the unfired clay before glazing, appearing faintly after firing to add a quiet layer of texture.
