英文品名：A QING FAMILLE-ROSE TRIPOD CENSER WITH UPRIGHT HANDLES AND EIGHT-BUDDHIST-EMBLEM LOTUS SCROLLS 尺寸：L:33cm;H:36cm 粉彩三足爐，碩腹鼓頂，口沿外撇，頸兩側設朝冠耳（豎耳），下承三獸足。通體白地，頸部飾纏枝蓮，腹部八吉祥紋（法輪、法螺、寶傘、白蓋、蓮花、寶罐、金魚、盤長）分繪於八朵蓮花間，足端飾獸面。口沿、足邊描金。彩繪工緻，為清代佛前供爐。八吉祥，又稱八寶，為佛教八種吉祥物：法輪、法螺、寶傘、白蓋（幢）、蓮花、寶罐（瓶）、金魚、盤長。相傳釋迦降生時，東方獻寶幢、南方獻寶傘、西方獻寶罐、北方獻法螺，其餘四寶亦自天而降。元代以後，八吉祥成為景德鎮瓷器常見題材，明清景德鎮瓷器多繪於供器。朝冠耳三足爐器形取自商周青銅鼎，置於佛前，與五供（一爐二燭臺二花觚）成套。 A famille-rose tripod censer with swelling body, flared rim and upright court-handle ears, supported by three beast feet. On a white ground, the neck is painted with scrolling lotus and the body with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, wheel, conch, umbrella, canopy, lotus, vase, fish and endless knot, set among lotus blooms; beast masks decorate the feet. Rims are gilt. The Eight Buddhist Emblems are wheel, conch, umbrella, canopy, lotus, vase, fish and endless knot. Sutras relate that at the Buddha's birth, offerings of banner, umbrella, vase and conch came from the four quarters, with the other emblems descending from heaven. Since the Yuan they have appeared on Jingdezhen wares, especially ritual pieces. The court-handle tripod censer follows the ancient bronze ding and was placed before the altar, part of the five-offering set: one censer, two candlesticks and two vases.
