英文品名：A MING LARGE WUCAI CIRCULAR COVERED BOX WITH DRAGONS, BEARING A WANLI MARK 尺寸：D:27cm;H:15cm 五彩圓形大捧盒，蓋身相合。蓋面與器身滿繪五彩雲龍紋：盤龍穿行於祥雲、火焰間，龍身以釉下青花勾線，填紅、綠、黃、紫諸彩。器身亦飾雲鶴、花卉。器底青花雙圈六字楷書“大明萬曆年製”款。色彩濃麗，為明代萬曆五彩大器。萬曆五彩上承嘉靖，下啟康熙硬彩，是明代彩瓷高峰。以釉下青花與釉上多彩結合，紅彩濃厚，綠彩深沉，對比強烈。龍紋多作盤龍、穿花龍。捧盒為盛貯點心、首飾之具，萬曆朝宮中節慶、賞賜多用此器，成對或成組保存。 A large circular wucai covered box, the cover and body painted all over with dragons amid clouds and flames, the dragon outlined in underglaze blue and filled with overglaze red, green, yellow and violet; cranes and flowers decorate the sides, the base bearing a six-character Wanli mark in a double circle. The palette is rich. Wanli wucai carried on from Jiajing and anticipated Kangxi hard colours, a peak of Ming polychrome. It combines underglaze blue with strong overglaze red, green and violet. Dragons are usually coiled or flower-pierced. The covered box held sweets or jewels; such large pieces were used in Wanli court festivals and gifts, often kept in pairs or sets.
