英文品名：A REPUBLICAN-PERIOD SET OF FOUR BLUE-AND-WHITE PORCELAIN PANELS OF BIRDS AND FLOWERS, BEARING A WANG BU SIGNATURE 尺寸：With frame: L:50cm;H:77cm / Inner: L:32cm;H:55cm 瓷板四扇，長方形，鑲木框。每扇青花繪四季花鳥：春桃花鳥、夏荷鴛鴦、秋菊蟋蟀、冬梅寒雀，分別題詩句並鈐「王步」朱文印。青花色澤濃淡多變，分水技法嫻熟，鳥態生動，花枝秀逸。為民國景德鎮青花名品。王步（一八九八–一九六八），江西豐城人，景德鎮青花大家。十四歲學青花，受元代青花與永宣青花影響，創「分水」寫意法：以筆飽蘸料水，在素胎上分出濃淡層次，如中國畫水墨般淋灘。其作品花鳥筆簡意遠，民國時期已負盛名，與青花山水並稱。四扇一套，按春、夏、秋、冬分繪花鳥，題詩鈐印，是瓷板畫，亦鏡片式陳設。 A set of four rectangular porcelain panels in wood frames, each painted in underglaze blue with birds and flowers of a season: peach in spring, lotuses and mandarin ducks in summer, chrysanthemums and crickets in autumn, and plum with sparrows in winter. Poetic couplets and a seal reading Wang Bu are inscribed on each. The blue varies in tone with masterly water-division technique. Wang Bu (1898–1968), from Fengcheng Jiangxi, was the great master of twentieth-century Jingdezhen underglaze blue. Apprenticed at fourteen, he absorbed Yuan and Xuande-Yongle blue-and-white and developed a freehand water-division method: loading his brush with cobalt wash on the biscuit and blending tones as in ink painting. His bird-and-flower work is spare and evocative. This four-panel set arranged by season, with poetry and seals, was meant for wall display.
