清 銅刻心經紋圓掛屏

英文品名：A CIRCULAR BRONZE WALL PANEL ENGRAVED WITH THE HEART SUTRA, QING DYNASTY 尺寸：D:31cm 此圓屏為銅鑄，作正圓形，邊框鎏金。屏面滿刻《般若波羅蜜多心經》全文，楷書分行直下，字小而工整。末署「大清光緒十五年弟子陳青雲敬刻」並鈐印。背面鑲紫檀木背板，穿繩可懸掛。銅色淡黃，刻工細密。為清代佛前或書齋掛供之物。以《心經》銅板懸於壁間，為清代佛教供養常見之法。經文二十餘行，環繞或直排，字字工整，令人仰觀誦讀。光緒十五年（1889）值清末內憂外患之際，弟子陳青雲敬刻此屏，蓋祈求平安、護持家國之意。此類銅心經板多配紫檀框、木背板，懸於書齋或佛堂。 This circular bronze wall panel has a gilt frame. Its face is engraved all over with the Heart Sutra in neat regular script arranged in columns, ending with the dedication 'Respectfully engraved by disciple Chen Qingyun in the 15th year of Guangxu' and a seal. The reverse is backed with zitan and fitted with a cord for hanging. The bronze is pale yellow, the engraving minute. It is a Qing devotional hanging for the altar or study. Hanging bronze Heart-Sutra panels on the wall was a common Qing Buddhist practice: the sutra in some twenty neat rows invited reading and recitation. The 15th year of Guangxu (1889) was a time of internal unrest; the disciple's dedication to peace and protection is typical. Such panels usually had zitan frames and wood backs for hanging in a studio or shrine.
