英文品名：A JADEITE EIGHTEEN-BEAD PRAYER BRACELET 尺寸：D:1.4cm 翡翠。手持一掛，計翡翠圓珠十八粒，翠色鮮嫩，種水瑩潤，珠形勻圓。間以碧璽紅色佛頭珠兩粒，佛頭塔下繫米黃色絲繩，串珍珠、珊瑚結子。下垂翡翠圓形背雲一片，兩端以鎏金鑲碧璽墜角收尾。持於掌中，配色雅麗，為清代翡翠十八子手持。手持又稱「十八子」，源自佛珠，十八粒對應佛教所謂十八界——六根、六塵、六識。清代后妃、官眷於禮佛念誦時掐珠數息，平時則繫於衣襟作佩飾，兼具修行與禮儀裝飾之用。佛頭珠、背雲、墜角成套，是清代婦女隨身雅物。 A jadeite prayer bracelet of eighteen round beads, bright green and lustrous, evenly sized. Two pink tourmaline Buddha-head beads are spaced among them, below which a yellow silk cord is strung with pearl and coral spacer knots. A round jadeite back-cloud pendant hangs at the front, terminating in two gilt-mounted tourmaline drops. The color combination is elegant, a Qing jadeite eighteen-bead wristlet. An eighteen-bead wristlet, or shouchi, derives from Buddhist rosaries: eighteen beads correspond to the eighteen realms of perception, the six senses, their objects and their consciousnesses. Qing court ladies and official women used them to count recitations during devotions, and in daily life wore them hooked to their robes as a decorative, pious accessory. The matching Buddha-head bead, back-cloud and drops form a complete set of personal adornment.
