英文品名：A QING NECKLACE OF HETIAN WHITE JADE PEBBLES RETAINING RUSSET SKIN 尺寸：Irregular sizes 白玉帶皮籽料項鏈。珠作不規則隨形，就和田白玉籽料打磨，玉色白中泛青，每珠一面保留天然褐黃玉皮，深淺相間。末段綴紅玉髓小珠及繩結，為清代玉珠佩飾。玉皮為白玉籽料天然外層，色作褐黃，濃淡不一。清代玉作尚留皮，於隨形珠上保留原皮，以見天然本色，與白肉相映成趣。去皮打磨與留皮取色，為籽料雕刻兩種取向；項鏈取隨形留皮，最得渾樸之趣。 A necklace of Hetian white jade pebbles retaining their skin. The irregular beads are polished from natural white jade pebbles, the white flesh faintly greenish, each bead keeping a patch of natural russet skin of varying tone. Small red carnelian beads and a cord knot finish the strand. A Qing jade bead necklace. The skin is the natural russet outer layer of river-pebble jade. Qing carvers prized keeping the skin, retaining it on the beads so that its warm brown played against the white flesh. Skin-retention versus skin-removal are two approaches in pebble jade carving; this necklace keeps both the natural outline and the skin for an unadorned effect.
