英文品名：A BAMBOO WRISTREST CARVED WITH SCHOLARS UNDER PINES, QING DYNASTY 尺寸：L:17cm 此臂擱為老竹雕成，作長條半圓筒形。正面浮雕松陰高士圖：古松虯枝橫亙，松下兩位文人對坐論道，遠山流水襯景。一側陰刻行書「聽多攪山圖」並鈐印。竹色紅潤，包漿瑩亮。為清代竹雕文房臂擱。臂擱，又稱臂格、腕枕，書寫時墊於腕下，以免腕袖污墨。明清以竹、木、銅、玉為之，以竹最常見。臂擱面多雕山水、人物、花鳥，於臨池之餘對目怡神。松陰高士圖取「松下論道」之意，最合書齋雅趣。 This wristrest is carved from old bamboo in a long half-cylindrical form. The face is relief-carved with scholars under pines: gnarled branches arch over two seated literati discoursing, distant hills and water behind. One side is incised with running-script 'Ting duo jiao shan tu' and a seal. The bamboo is reddish and lustrous. It is a Qing bamboo wristrest. The wristrest (bige), placed under the wrist while writing to keep the sleeve off the ink, was made of bamboo, wood, bronze or jade in Ming-Qing times, bamboo being most common. Its face was carved with landscapes, figures or flowers, admired between bouts of writing. The scholars-under-pines theme, evoking discourse in the shade, suited the studio.
