英文品名：A ZITAN RUYI SCEPTER CARVED WITH CLOUD DRAGONS, WITH THREE WHITE JADE INLAYS 尺寸：L:65cm;W:17cm;H:9cm 紫檀木為柄，通身浮雕雲龍紋，雲紋綿密，龍身穿行其間。首、腰、尾三處各鑲白玉一片，玉色瑩白，玉面淺雕人物花卉。木色紫黑，包漿瑩潤，器形碩長端穩。如意之「如意」，取如人所願。古為搔杖，後演為陳設、貢品，清代皇帝於萬壽、新年接受大臣進如意，討口彩。三鑲玉如意尤為華貴，置於廳堂掛架或炕幾，為吉祥重器。 A zitan-wood ruyi scepter carved all over with clouds and writhing dragons, set at the head, middle and tail with three white jade plaques shallowly carved with figures and flowers. The purple-black wood is lustrous, the scepter long and stately. The ruyi means as you wish. It began as a back-scratcher and evolved into an auspicious presentation object; Qing emperors received ruyi from officials on birthdays and New Year for the lucky phrase. A triple-jade-inlaid example was especially distinguished, hung on a wall rack or laid on a daybed table as a talisman.
