清 竹雕鑲紫檀口底深浮雕車馬人物筆筒“士傑”款

英文品名：A BAMBOO BRUSH POT WITH ZITAN RIM AND FOOT, DEEPLY CARVED WITH A LANDSCAPE PROCESSION, SIGNED "SHIJIE" 尺寸：D:15cm;H:17cm 竹雕筆筒。筒身圓直，口沿、底足鑲紫檀木。外壁通體深雕、透雕山水人物：崖壁、蒼松、雲氣間，一隊車馬行人，或推車、或策杖、或立談，另有長者衣冠立於松下。樓閣、車輪、松針皆細刻入微，岩壁間陰刻「士傑」二字並綴方印。竹皮棗紅，包漿瑩潤，為清代文房筆筒。竹雕筆筒始盛於明代中葉嘉定，「三朱」以深雕、透雕著稱，能於薄竹上鏤出數進人物。清代筆筒多作山行、雅集、漁樵圖，刀法分淺刻、深雕、透雕數層；口底鑲紫檀，既可護竹，又以深色木托出竹色。此件通體透雕車馬人物，層次分明，上承嘉定派遺風。 A bamboo brush pot of cylindrical form, with the rim and foot mounted in zitan wood. The exterior is deeply and openly carved with a landscape procession: among cliffs, pines and cloud, travellers push carts, lean on staffs and converse, while robed elders stand beneath the pines. Pavilions, cartwheels and pine needles are rendered in fine detail; the rock face bears the incised signature "Shijie" followed by a square seal. The bamboo is date-red with a lustrous patina. Bamboo brush pots flourished from the mid-Ming in Jiading, where the Zhu family made their name with deep and openwork carving, producing several layers of figures on a thin bamboo wall. Qing pots often depict mountain travels or literati gatherings, with shallow, deep and pierced carving; the zitan rims protect the bamboo and set off its tone. The layered, openwork procession on this pot follows the Jiading manner.
