清 黑漆鑲螺鈿描金花卉蓋盒“乾隆年製”款

英文品名：A BLACK LACQUER CIRCULAR BOX WITH MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAY AND GILT FLORALS, BEARING A FOUR-CHARACTER QIANLONG MARK 尺寸：W:18cm;H:7.5cm 大漆。蓋盒作扁圓形，黑漆面。蓋面以鑲螺鈿工藝飾海屋添籌圖：波濤翻卷，螺鈿鑲白浪層層，雲氣繚繞，一仙鶴展翅飛過樓閣，樓閣以黑漆線刻出瓦壟。器身側壁灑金錦地，開光內描金牡丹花枝，花葉脈絡清晰，口沿邊飾回紋。底心金彩四字篆書「乾隆年製」方款。工精料巧，為清代大漆鑲螺鈿蓋盒。鑲螺鈿係於木胎上反覆髹漆數十道，趁漆半乾時將鮑魚殼、珍珠貝薄片裁成波濤、樓閣、仙鶴諸形鑲入漆面，再反覆打磨、推光，使貝片與漆面平齊，貝光在光下泛出虹彩。描金則以金箔調漆描繪枝葉。此種薄貝鑲又稱「薄螺鈿」或軟螺鈿，是清代書齋文盒常見做法。 A circular covered box on a black lacquer ground. The lid is inlaid with mother-of-pearl depicting waves curling in white shell layers, cloud scrolls, a flying crane and a pavilion rendered in incised black lines. The sides have a sprinkled-gold brocade ground around reserved panels painted in gilt with peony branches and leaves, and the rim edge is a keyfret band. The base centre carries a gilt four-character seal-script mark of the Qianlong period. Fine craftsmanship, a Qing black-lacquer mother-of-pearl box. Mother-of-pearl inlay on lacquer requires building up dozens of coats on a wood body. While the lacquer is still semi-dry, thin slices of abalone and pearl shell are cut into waves, pavilions and cranes and laid into the surface; after repeated polishing and burnishing the shell becomes flush with the lacquer, iridescent under light. Gilt painting traces gold-leaf paste over the dark ground. This thin soft mother-of-pearl technique was common on Qing scholar's lacquer boxes.
