清 黑漆地百寶鑲錦雞御題詩掛屏

英文品名：A BLACK-LACQUER WALL PANEL WITH HARDSTONE-INLAID PHEASANTS AND IMPERIAL POEM, QING DYNASTY 尺寸：L:43cm;H:74cm 此掛屏為紫檀木框，屏心黑漆地。上部鑲銅泥金楷書禦題詩文，鈐「古希天子」「太上皇帝」等璽印；下部以碧玉、青金、瑪瑙、粉晶等百寶鑲錦雞一雙，佇立於山石靈芝之上，羽毛斑斕。木框起陽線邊，頂部銅掛鉤。為清代宮廷掛屏。錦雞，又稱鸂鶒、彩雞，羽色斑斕，尾修長，古人以為瑞鳥。成雙錦雞佇立山石，取「錦繡前程」「佳偶天成」之意。禦題詩文為皇帝親書，臣工摹刻鑲屏，以示恩寵。黑漆地最能凸顯寶石本色，故宮中花鳥掛屏多用之。 This zitan-framed wall panel has a black-lacquer ground. The upper part carries gilt regular-script imperial poetry impressed with seals including Guxi Tianzi and Taishang Huangdi; the lower is inlaid with hardstones—jade, lapis, agate, rose quartz—forming a pair of golden pheasants standing on rocks and lingzhi, their plumage vivid. The frame has raised lines and a brass hook. It is a Qing court hanging panel. The golden pheasant (jinji), with its brilliant long tail, was regarded as an auspicious bird. A pair on rocks wished for a brilliant future and a perfect match. The imperial poems were the emperor's own, copied onto the panels as a mark of favour; the black ground set off the stones, as the court preferred for bird-and-flower screens.
