英文品名：AN AGARWOOD SEATED EAR-PICKING ARHAT, QING DYNASTY 尺寸：H:15cm 此像為沉香木雕，羅漢結跏趺坐，一手掏耳，滿面喜樂笑意，神態生動。頭剃髮，著袈裟，衣紋流暢自然。木色沉褐，香氣溫醇，包漿瑩潤。下配紫檀木雕須彌座。為清代沉香木雕羅漢。十八羅漢中，掏耳羅漢（又稱挖耳羅漢）為其中之一，神態寫意，不拘禮法，表現羅漢解脫自在、隨意自在之相。沉香木質溫潤香遠，最宜雕佛像、羅漢，經年摩挲，香氣愈醇。清代宮中及江南文人多藏沉香雕羅漢。 This agarwood arhat sits in full lotus, one hand picking his ear, his face wreathed in happy amusement. He is tonsured and robed, the drapery flowing. The wood is deep brown, fragrant and lustrous. It stands on a carved zitan stand. It is a Qing agarwood arhat. Among the eighteen arhats, the ear-picking one is depicted with unconstrained, lively humour, expressing the arhat's freedom and ease. Agarwood, warm and long-scented, suits Buddhist images; long handling mellows the fragrance. The Qing court and Jiangnan literati collected such agarwood arhats.
