清中期 銅鎏金纏枝蓮瑞獸鈕六方香薰

英文品名：A MID-QING GILT-BRONZE HEXAGONAL INCENSE BURNER WITH OPENWORK COVER AND BEAST FINIALS 尺寸：W:23cm;D:15cm;H:15cm (base) 銅胎六棱，施鎏金，地子深黝。蓋鏤雕卷草出煙，沿邊一週鑄瑞獸小鈕，蓋頂承蓮花苞鈕。頸部鏨拐子回紋帶，頸側出獸首銜環；腹六面開光，內鏨纏枝蓮紋，花瓣葉脈細膩。下承六方須彌座，座沿亦飾回紋，座邊出如意雲頭足。整器分體鑄造，鎏金厚薄有致，鏨刻工整，為清中期香具。六方分體鑄造器，工藝難度高：蓋、頸、腹、座各部分別範鑄，再以榫卯、螺絲或焊藥拼合。鎏金厚薄有致，顯示不同部位受磨損程度；蓋鏤空卷草為出煙口，須控制鏤空密度，過疏則火力散，過密則煙不暢。頸部拐子回紋、腹開光纏枝蓮，皆先鑄出淺浮雕，再以鏨子細刻花瓣葉脈，最後整器火鍍金。清中期宮造與揚州、蘇州官造香爐多此式。 A hexagonal gilt-bronze incense burner on a matching hexagonal stand. The openwork cover is pierced with scrolling foliage for the fumes, lined with small beast finials and crowned by a lotus-bud knob. The shoulder band is chased with key-fret and kui scrolls, flanked by beast-head loop handles; each vertical panel of the body is cast with scrolling lotus flowers. The stand has ruyi-cloud feet. Cast in sections with carefully chased detail. A hexagonal sectional casting is technically demanding: cover, shoulder, body and stand are piece-mould cast separately and joined by dowels, screws or solder. Variation in gilt thickness records wear at different points. The pierced scrolling-foliage cover is sized to let fumes escape, as too open loses heat and too tight chokes the smoke. Key-fret on the neck and scrolling lotus within panels are cast in shallow relief, chased in detail, then the whole vessel is fire-gilt. This type was common in mid-Qing court and Yangzhou-Suzhou official workshops.
