英文品名：A QING BRONZE GUI-FORM CENSER WITH DRAGON HANDLES AND TAOTIE MASKS 尺寸：D:11cm;H:9cm 銅鑄。簋式爐，侈口束頸，扁鼓腹，下承高圈足外撇。頸兩側出龍形耳，腹身一周浮雕獸面紋，地子飾回紋。銅色黑亮瑩潤。簋本為上古盛食器，寬腹斂口，後世取其式為香爐，置於佛堂或書齋焚香。龍形耳自頸兩旁探出，腹一周獸面紋以回紋為地，威儀在目。高圈足、扁腹穩重，多配木座陳設，焚檀沉之香，伴讀伴畫。 A bronze gui-form censer. It has a flared mouth, narrow neck, squat rounded body and tall splayed foot. Dragon-form ears rise at the neck; the belly carries a relief taotie mask band on a meander ground. The bronze is black and lustrous. The gui was an ancient food vessel with a broad belly and narrow mouth; later makers adopted its form for incense burners in shrines and studios. Dragon ears reach out from either side of the neck, while the belly's taotie band on a meander ground carries solemn weight. The tall foot and squat body are steady, usually displayed on a wood stand, burning sandalwood or agarwood while reading or painting.
