清 銅胎畫琺瑯子孫萬代紋蒜頭瓶

英文品名：A QING PAINTED ENAMEL ON BRONZE GARLIC-HEAD VASE WITH DOUBLE-GOURD AND BAT SCROLLS 尺寸：H:20cm 銅胎，口作蒜頭狀，細頸碩腹。通體以寶藍色畫琺瑯為地，頸腹滿繞纏枝葫蘆、綬帶結與粉蝠，葫蘆纍纍；腹中部綴以粉紅緞帶結。口沿鎏金，頸下飾一週紅彩錦地邊。畫琺瑯設色濃豔，線條流麗，取「子孫萬代」「蝠（福）」之意，為清代銅胎畫琺瑯陳設瓶。銅胎畫琺瑯係於打製成型之紅銅胎上，先以細銅絲或鑷子夾出紋樣輪廓，再以筆蘸各色琺瑯釉料直接描繪於器壁，經多次低溫焙燒，使釉料熔附於銅胎表面，最後口沿、邊廓施鎏金。其工序不同於掐絲琺瑯以金屬絲圍框填料，而是純以彩筆作畫，故設色如油畫般層次豐富，線條可隨意勾勒。此器寶藍地上葫蘆、綬帶、蝙蝠紋樣即為彩筆直接繪成，色層肥厚而微凸起。 A painted enamel on bronze garlic-head vase with rounded body. A deep cobalt-blue ground is covered all over with scrolling double gourds, ribbon bows and pink bats, the gourds clustering abundantly; a large pink bow is tied at the mid-body. The mouth is gilt and a brocade border encircles the neck. The palette is rich and the drawing fluent, the gourd and bat motifs alluding to endless progeny and fortune. Painted enamel on bronze is made on a hammered copper body: enamel colours are applied directly by brush onto the metal surface and fired repeatedly at a low temperature so the vitreous colours fuse to the bronze, after which the rims are gilded. Unlike cloisonné, no metal wires are used to outline the design; the drawing is freehand, giving rich painterly layers. The blue ground with gourds, ribbons and bats on this vase was thus brushed on, the colours slightly raised and lustrous.
