清 銅螭龍紋三足盤

英文品名：A QING BRONZE TRIPOD DISH WITH CHI-DRAGON DESIGN 尺寸：D:36cm;H:9cm 銅鑄大圓盤。敞口，淺腹，下承三短獸足。盤內光素，包漿沉暗。外壁近足處飾一周浮雕螭龍卷草紋，龍身蟠曲。銅色青褐，皮殼古樸，為清代銅水盤或香盤。大銅盤置於書齋，可盛水作筆洗之大者，亦可承香、陳果、供佛。清代銅盤多取上古銅盤、銅鑒形制，外壁飾螭龍、卷草紋，取古雅。盤內光素，便於使用；盤外浮雕，取其陳設觀賞。此器口沿寬平，下承三獸足，氣度穩重。 A large bronze circular dish. It has an open rim, shallow rounded sides and three short beast feet. The interior is plain with a dark patina; the exterior near the foot is cast in relief with chi-dragons and scrolling grass. The bronze is greenish-brown with a mellow aged patina. A Qing bronze water or incense tray. Large bronze dishes stood in studios, holding water as a large brush rinser, or bearing incense, fruit or offerings. Qing bronze dishes took their form from ancient bronze pans and mirrors, their exteriors cast with chi-dragon and scroll motifs in an elegant antique tone. The plain interior is practical; the relief exterior is for display. This example has a broad level rim and three feet, with steady presence.
