英文品名：A MING BRONZE GU-FORM BEAKER VASE WITH PHOENIX BANDS 尺寸：D:13.5cm;H:16.5cm 銅鑄。花觚作喇叭口，細腰，斂足外撇。頸部一周浮雕對稱鳳鳥紋，地子飾回紋。腹與足光素。銅色青褐瑩潤，皮殼古樸。花觚本為上古飲酒器，後世漸衍為插花陳設器，喇叭口張、細腰斂足，最宜插梅、供石。頸部一周對稱鳳鳥紋以回紋為地，鳳為百鳥之王，與龍對舉，象徵瑞應文明。此器鳳鳥紋刻畫細密，地子回紋工整，置於書齋條案，古雅生輝。 A bronze gu-form beaker vase of trumpet mouth, narrow waist and flared foot. The neck carries a relief band of paired phoenix birds on a squared meander ground; the body and foot are plain. The bronze is greenish-brown and lustrous, with a mellow antique-toned patina. The gu began as an ancient drinking vessel and gradually became a flower vase: its trumpet mouth and slender waist suit plum branches or scholar's rocks. The paired phoenix band on the neck sits on a meander ground; the phoenix, king of birds paired with the dragon, signals auspicious culture. Here the phoenixes are finely drawn on a neat meander ground, glowing elegantly on the studio table.
