英文品名：A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE BOWL-FORM WATER COUPE WITH HUNDRED LONGEVITY CHARACTERS, BEARING A "SHISOU" SEAL MARK 尺寸：D:5cm;H:5cm 銅質，缽形水呈。器斂口碩腹，下收為小圈足，口沿飾回紋邊。器壁以錯銀細線滿佈百壽紋，數十個「壽」字各異其形，金文、小篆、鳥蟲篆兼而有之，分行排列，環器一周。底心鑄方形“石叟”篆書款。銅色褐熟，銀線清晰。石叟以細銀絲錯銀銅器見稱。此缽式水呈壁間以錯銀細線作數十種篆籀百壽字，自古文、金文、小篆至鳥蟲書各具姿態，環器一周，取延年祈福之意。水呈為硯田注水、滌毫之器，置於硯側，研墨濡筆之間，吉祥之意寓於日用。 This bronze water coupe is of bowl form, with a narrow mouth, a full rounded body and a small foot ring, the rim encircled by a key-fret border. The walls are inlaid with fine silver threads in the Hundred Longevity pattern: dozens of distinct forms of the character shou, ranging from bronze and seal scripts to bird-and-insect writing, arranged in rows around the vessel. The base is cast with a square seal-script mark of Shi Sou. With a ripe brown patina and clear inlay. Shi Sou is known for fine silver wire inlaid on bronze. Here the bowl-form water coupe carries dozens of seal-script longevity characters in silver — from early and bronze scripts to small seal and bird-and-insect forms, arranged around the vessel — wishing prolonged life. The water coupe supplied the inkstone and rinsed the brush, so beside the inkstone, as one ground ink and washed the brush, the auspicious wish entered daily use.
