英文品名：A THREE-PIECE QIANLONG BRONZE ALTAR SET: ONE DING CENSER AND TWO CANDLESTICKS WITH CHASED DRAGONS 尺寸：Incense burner: H:31cm / Candlestick: H:48cm 銅鑄。一組三件：鼎式爐一、燭臺二。鼎爐作敞立耳、鼓腹、三獸足式，頸飾蟬紋，耳、口沿浮雕回紋錦地，腹部高浮雕雲龍穿梭於如意雲頭之間，龍鱗鬚鬣畢現，三獸足刻獸面紋。燭臺與爐同質，對稱成套，器表皮殼古樸，鏨刻深峻。整套為廟堂陳設之用。一組一爐二燭臺，即佛前「五供」之半（另兩花觚另配），又稱「五具足」。佛教儀軌，佛壇正中設香爐，左右對列燭臺與花觚，焚香、燃燭、供花，象徵「香、花、燈、塗、果」五種供養。清代宮殿、祠堂、寺觀普遍陳設，五供多以銅、瓷製成，碩大端莊，置於須彌座上。此組鏨刻雲龍，皮殼古穆，即為廟堂供器。 A three-piece bronze altar set: one tripod ding censer and two candlesticks. The censer has upright flanged ears, a bulbous body and three beast-mask legs; the neck is cast with cicada motifs, the rim and ears with keyfret, and the body in high relief with dragons threading through cloud scrolls, scales and mane fully rendered. The two candlesticks match in patina and style. The casting is deep and crisp, the patina mellow, made as a temple altar garniture. The set of one censer and two candlesticks forms part of the Buddhist five offerings set, the remaining two beaker vases would accompany them. In Buddhist liturgy the altar centres on an incense burner, flanked symmetrically by candlesticks and flower vases; burning incense, lighting candles and offering flowers stand for the five traditional offerings, incense, flowers, lamps, ointment and fruit. Qing palaces, ancestral halls and temples universally displayed such sets, often in bronze or porcelain, large and formal on a pedestal.
